Pioneers Earn Three NCDC Honors in New England North Division

The Northern Maine Pioneers are proud to announce that the National Collegiate Development Conference has officially released its award recipients for the 2025–2026 season. The Pioneers are honored to take home three of the seven awards in the New England North Division.

Leading the way is goaltender Murat Shiyanov (#1), who has been named the division’s Most Valuable Player. The 2006-born netminder from Russia delivered an outstanding season between the pipes, finishing with 37 games played, 11 wins, a 3.17 goals-against average, and an impressive .922 save percentage. Shiyanov’s consistency and presence in net were key components of the Pioneers’ success throughout the season.

Head Coach Jack Lowry has been recognized as Coach of the Year following a strong inaugural season behind the bench. Alongside Assistant Coach Hunter Parker, Lowry led the Pioneers through their first year with determination and direction, setting a strong foundation for the future of the organization.

Rounding out the honors, the Northern Maine Pioneers have been named Organization of the Year. This recognition reflects the collective effort of the entire program; from players and staff to the dedicated fans and families who supported the team every step of the way.

The Pioneers would like to congratulate all award recipients and thank everyone who played a role in making this season such a success. Here’s to what’s ahead.
