About the Northern Maine Pioneers
The Northern Maine Pioneers are proud members of the NCDC New England North Division of the USPHL, competing against some of the region’s top programs including the CT Chiefs North, Universel Québec, Lewiston MAINEiacs, St. Stephen County Moose, and Woodstock NB Slammers. As Aroostook County’s home for junior hockey, the Pioneers deliver a player and fan experience that stands out across the country.
Guided by Owner Brandon Johnson and General Manager Greg Heffernan, the Pioneers are built on three key priorities:
- Putting a competitive team on the ice that the people of Aroostook County can rally behind.
- Delivering a premier fan and player experience, both on and off the ice.
- Advancing players to collegiate hockey, preparing them for success at the next level.
With passionate fans, strong community support, and a relentless commitment to excellence, the Northern Maine Pioneers are more than just a team — they are a source of pride for Aroostook County and a program with a bright future in the world of junior hockey.
